Stallone Becomes the T-800 in Terminator 2 DeepFake Video & Sly Loves It

Sylvester Stallone shared the latest Terminator 2: Judgment Day Deepfake video with himself as the star. The Deepfake technology is rapidly getting better and better, which is why seeing Stallone in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic T-800 role is so creepy. However, it isn’t without precedent. In 1993’s The Action Hero, the Terminator sequel is advertised with Stallone in the lead role at a video store and, fittingly, that’s how the full-length Deepfake video begins.
The Deepfake Terminator 2: Judgment Day video with Sylvester Stallone is pretty impressive. There’s hardly any lag or evidence to suggest it’s fake and it legitimately looks like Stallone starred in the 1991 movie in another dimension or on another planet. Stallone captioned the video by saying, “This is what a Terminator would look like if he was built from spaghetti and pizza!” All jokes aside, the video will more than likely haunt the dreams of some viewers, so consider yourself warned.
The man behind the Sylvester Stallone Terminator 2: Judgment Day Deepfake video is also responsible for the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bill Hader face swap from a few weeks ago. He goes by the name Ctrl Shift Face and has a number of other videos utilizing the tech, each one better than the last. Some are against the idea of the Deepfake tech, even for fun, because it could lead to some pretty serious problems down the line in terms of fake news, but it is rather remarkable to see how far it has come in such a short amount of time.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day is about to receive its direct sequel with this year’s Terminator: Dark Fate. Arnold Schwarzenegger is back and so is Linda Hamilton as they attempt to serve the franchise to a new generation. James Cameron is also back, but as a producer this time around with Deadpool director Tim Miller behind the camera. Reactions to the first trailer for the sequel from fans have been mixed, but that is to be expected. The Terminator franchise has been through quite a bit over the past few decades, so fans are weary of another sequel, even if it sees the return of familiar characters and completely erases the previous installments.
As for Sylvester Stallone, he’s preparing to release Rambo: Last Blood this fall, returning to the franchise after a lengthy break. The actor has been on a pretty good role over the past few years with the Creed franchise and fans are excited to see him back as John Rambo. The first trailer has some Home Alone vibes, but it looks absolutely brutal and fans have been responding positively to it. We’ll have to wait and see how everybody responds to Stallone starring in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, replacing Arnold Schwarzenegger.
